  • Long Description: The executive committee of the United Methodist Council of Bishops has approved a proposal to fund a pension program in the church's Liberia area. The executive committee of the United Methodist Council of Bishops, meeting Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in Maputo, Mozambique, has approved a proposal to pilot a pension program in the church's Liberia Annual Conference using over-funding from a prior United Methodist pension plan.
